Lisbon, October 14, 2022 – The countdown for the premiere of the Globoplay Original telenovela ‘All the Flowers’ has begun and the kick-off was given in Lisbon late this Thursday afternoon (13). To mark the launch of the story written by João Emanuel Carneiro, Globo held a preview in the cinema of Shopping Amoreiras, which had the special presence of actors Fabio Assunção, Mariana Nunes, Regina Casé and Chico Diaz. The artists traveled from Brazil to Portugal on purpose to participate in the event, which included a cocktail with a Brazilian flavor, and a samba jamming session.
“It is a great happiness to be in Portugal because we are always received with great affection. I’m feeling like a beginner because I’ve never played the villain, I’ve never played a rich one, and much less a blond one,” Regina Casé began by saying, drawing laughter from the audience. “Today is the day to ask for Adriana Esteves’ blessing for her Carminha, and to ask Renata Sorrah’s blessing for her Nazaré. Two friends that I love very much and two actresses who played villains that inspire me. Although I think Zoé is different,” she added.
Actor Fabio Assunção also did not hide his enthusiasm for having traveled to Lisbon to participate in the international preview of ‘All the Flowers’. “It is a delight to be here in Portugal and to be able to watch the first chapter of the telenovela with all of you,” he said, adding that his character, Humberto, “is a pure, but very contradictory guy.” Mariana Nunes, who plays Judite, praised “João Emanuel Carneiro’s wonderful text” and said that “the telenovela is full of mystery, which makes watching it very appealing”.
Chico Diaz, who plays Rivaldo, was another illustrious presence at the preview. “It is an honor to be here with you in Portugal launching a product by João Emanuel Carneiro and Carlos Araújo and that was thought up by Globoplay. I just have to thank for all of it”, he commented.
Besides the talents, several other guests, journalists and influencers were present at the preview and exclusively watched the first episode of ‘All the Flowers’, telenovela scheduled to premiere on October 19.
Still being recorded in Brazil, ‘All the Flowers’ arrives at a time when Globoplay is celebrating its first anniversary in Portugal. “The relationship Portugal and telenovela Globo has existed for many years and is very important to us. That’s why we chose this very special territory to do the World Premiere of ‘All the Flowers’. The second telenovela made for Globoplay was shown exclusively for the first time to the Portuguese audience also to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the arrival of the platform in Portugal!”, says Marcela Parise, Head of International Marketing at Globo.
The Globoplay Original plot was thought and developed for streaming and is part of Globo’s journey to become a mediatech company, in which content added to technology are essential for the creation of series and telenovelas. The story is the second produced directly for streaming, following a format inaugurated by ‘Hidden Truths 2’ on the platform.
