Synopsis
In Ambitious Women, all levels of ambition are revealed in a plot full of greed, revenge and struggle for power, through the conflicts of three strong women with very different personalities.
Beatriz (Glória Pires) is a wealthy woman and seems to have everything she needs, but she keeps seeking more power without conforming to any rules. Inês (Adriana Esteves, Brazil Avenue), whose character is as dubious as Beatriz', nourishes a mixture of envy and admiration for her former friend from youth. Her hatred and thirst for revenge stem from the conviction that her rival is responsible for her father's death, with whom Beatriz had an affair in the past. And Regina (Camila Pitanga), as a contrast, is the true hero in this story. An idealist with humble origins, she struggles to achieve her goals without harming anyone, but a tragedy changes her life and her plans.
From perfect allies to great enemies, Inês and Beatriz have a relationship where revenge and blackmail rule, which results in the murder of Cristóvão (Val Perré), Beatriz' lover and Regina’s father. When she realizes her father's death was due to an obsessive struggle for power, the lives of these three women begin to intertwine.
In order to find the murderer, Regina seeks justice with the help of Vinícius (Thiago Fragoso), a dedicated lawyer. They live a tempestuous romance, with ups and downs. A relationship as full of challenges as these couples': Murilo (Bruno Gagliasso) and Alice (Sophie Charlotte), that face differences and conflicts; and also Teresa (Fernanda Montenegro, 2013 International Emmy Winner) and Estela (Nathalia Timberg), who fight for love and against prejudice.
With scenes shot in Dubai and Paris, Ambitious Women follows the battles fought by women of distinct personalities, ready to do anything to achieve their goals.
